Each kit contains two different size button up belts, two different size slide belts and three fabric panels (white, denim, black) that cover the gap. It’s truly the maternity wear solution!

Each pregnancy is different, but this Bellybelt can be worn by some women until they go into labor! It depends on how your pregnancy progresses and what’s in your wardrobe already. Stretchy or slightly larger clothes (to accomodate a growing bottom and legs) maximize the wear you’ll get from your Bellybelt. Most women get at least 3 months when they can use Bellybelt to adapt their own clothes into maternity wear. If your Bellybelt feels uncomfortable in any way, we suggest you go up to the next belt size, or discontinue wearing.

Belly belt does exactly what is says it does- it keeps the front of your pants (dress or denim) from coming open. The problems are: 1) the corners of the pants still stick up so if your shirt is the least bit form fitting (which it almost certainly is because you’re wearing non-pregnant clothes which are starting to be a wee small) then you can see the corners through the shirt. One woman at work must have told me my pants were unzipped about six times before I showed her the belly belt and said I KNOW they’re unzipped! 2) The belly band (even the small one) is too big very early on. My pants started being too tight at 8 weeks, but I didn’t need the corners two inches apart. 3) I stuffed the panel onto one of the little ones (you’re not supposed to use a panel with the small ones) because my dress pants wouldn’t stay and weren’t comfortable half zipped. Besides, as an eye doctor, I’m always raising my arms so unless I wear a mumu the shirt would reveal part of the unzipped pants.

Bottom line, maternity pants are way better. The belly belt does hold your pants closed, so if the pants are tight enough around your butt and thighs to stay up mostly by themselves, you’re fine. Just don’t expect it to look perfect or to be nearly as smooth or comfortable as maternity pants!

I am a plus-sized mom-to-be so I was concerned about how this would work for me. I have been really pleased with this purchase. I am able to continue wearing my jean capris the rest of this summer, comfortably, which is such a relief. I even fit into clothes a size or two down now (a major plus for women whose size fluctuates producing wardrobes of varying sizes). I didn’t see any plus-sized women review this item so I wanted to be sure I did for those who come after me. Over a couple hours or lots of movement you may have to readjust — sometimes your pants (not the band) start creeping down a bit. But I have never had the band “fail” me or show my unbuttoned pants (yikes!). It’s easy to wear, easy to adjust and most important: it’s comfortable!! Plus-size moms take heart — this item WILL work for you too!

I bought 2 bella bands as soon as I started having to wear my pants unbuttoned (end of first trimester) – one black and one white. I absolutely LOVE the black one. I wore it almost everyday until my son was 6 months old. It was the only thing that I could find to cover my belly in the final month of pregnancy.

Under a black shirt you couldn’t even tell the bella band was there, even when it was sticking out several inches. Under other shirts it just looked like I layered a t-shirt. However, the white band was awful. While the black camouflaged everything, the white highlighted everything. You could absolutely tell my pants were unbuttoned.

I agree with other reviewers that it can ride up, but when I was pregnant everything rode up or fell down. C’est la vie. It also provides a nice low level of support, similar to control top pantyhose.
